Our Services
Our reading intervention programs are individualized and designed based on the results of the child's standardized assessment.
Our approach focuses on areas the child may be struggling, using effective teaching strategies to engage and empower children for academic and lifelong success.
Children who participate in the reading enrichment program at ReadPlus are given the opportunity to delve deeper into their love for reading. Through engaging activities and personalized exercises, they are encouraged to explore new genres, expand their vocabulary, and improve their comprehension skills.
The center aims to create a nurturing environment where young readers can thrive and grow, fostering a lifelong passion for literature and learning.
The Beginning Reading Program caters to children aged 2.5 to 6 years old.
It is a program centered around literature, incorporating engaging reading and art tasks. The program focuses on teaching alphabet knowledge, numeracy, phonics, and phonological awareness through learner-friendly techniques and proven research methods.

Reading Intervention is the primary program offered at ReadPlus. It aims to help students improve reading skills like phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, which are crucial for overall academic success.

The Filipino Intervention and Filipino Enrichment Programs are literature-based programs that aim to foster a genuine love for learning, widen reading experiences, and address reading difficulties in this area.
The Math Intervention Program is a program that utilizes innovative approaches that allow children to have fun while studying challenging math concepts.
Face-to-face homeschool support is available for homeschoolers seeking assistance. Participants will engage in interactive discussions related to their lessons, combined with enjoyable and meaningful activities.

Academic Support
The Academic Support program aims to assist students with their lessons in school. Reading skills are explicitly taught to students to allow them to accomplish school requirements independently. Subjects are anchored on specific techniques and models used by our students’ respective schools.
About Us
ReadPlus is a reading intervention center with locations in Annapolis, Greenhills and Kapitolyo, Pasig. The center was established to support children who have been formally assessed by developmental pediatricians and identified as having reading difficulties or facing reading-related challenges in school.
The center's primary goal is to help every child enjoy learning by building on their strengths and enabling them to win over their weaknesses. ReadPlus offers individualized intervention programs, which sets it apart from tutorial centers. Each program targets the basic reading skills that will gradually enable children to accomplish all kinds of tasks in school independently.
We don't re-teach what has been taught inside the classroom but teach specific reading skills they need when faced with subject-specific activities and tests. Sharing the same goals with educational institutions, ReadPlus also creates partnerships with schools that seek to impact every child's life through holistic and meaningful education.

Teacher Daisy
Teacher Valerie Advincula is an established preschool educator in Kapitolyo, Pasig, having owned and managed Casa de Instruccion Montessori for 14 years. Recently, she has been focusing on Reading Intervention for children aged 4-7.
She holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, is licensed in Montessori proficiency, and is pursuing a PhD in Psychology with a focus on Developmental Psychology.
She received her Orton Gillingham* (OG) approach training in Singapore for Reading and Math. Integrating her Montessori practice with OG, she has been effectively assisting children in developing their reading skills since 2018. She is now working alongside one of her mentors, Teacher Daisy Calado, to provide reading intervention programs at ReadPlus Kapitolyo.
Teacher Daisy Jane Cunanan-Calado graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Education (Reading) and a Master's in Reading.
With over 18 years of experience, she has dedicated herself to educating students with reading difficulties. In addition to her role as a part-time Senior Lecturer at the U.P. Open University and Siena College of Taytay, where she handles both bachelor’s and master’s classes, she also serves as the editor of Siena College of Taytay’s school paper and contributes as one of their research consultants. Currently, she holds the position of Center Director at Readplus, a reading intervention center located in Greenhills. Her commitment extends to teacher training initiatives, where she actively participates as one of the founding members of CORIS (Council of Reading Intervention Specialists).
She recently conducted training sessions focusing on leveling reading materials for K-3 students during the inaugural Book Festival. Additionally, she played a pivotal role as a consultant in shaping the K-3 national learning camp curriculum for the Department of Education's Learning Recovery Program. Currently, she holds a consultancy position with ABC+ in collaboration with DepEd, ensuring the successful implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum. Noteworthy contributions include authoring components of the Integrated Learning Curriculum package in Region V and spearheading a Learning Recovery Program in Region VIII. Furthermore, she has authored Reading and Language textbooks, crafted curriculum exemplars, and developed highly decodable texts for leading publishing firms within the country.
